Using a louver vent is thought to be only for exhausting the unwanted heat from an attic. Surprise! There is more...
Even for grandpa to be more comfortable in his garage making birdhouses.
When it is too cool to open the garage door, but there needs to be a little fresh air.
Ventilation applications are not just limited to summer heat. Welders welding inside a hot shed can occasionally need a relief from the sweltering heat. Wood working in a garage with noisy heated electric tools. And even using a plasma cutter.
Venting goes both ways. In and out.
Hot air out, cool fresh air in.
To allow hot air out, since heat naturally rises, position the gable louver higher on the wall or directly behind the main heat source if a tool. To keep cool air coming in, place the vent lower on the wall. For maximum naturally cooled air, place it in a shaded area.
